Businesses and Environmental Reporting
In September 2009, Defra, in partnership with the Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC), published guidance for businesses and organisations on how to measure and report their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
The "Guidance on how to measure and report your greenhouse gas emissions" aims to help organisations understand how what they do generates greenhouse gas emissions and what they can do to minimise them. It also provides advice on how to measure, report as well as set targets to reduce their GHG emissions. The guidance is aimed at all sizes of business as well as public and third sector organisations.
The "SMALL BUSINESS USER GUIDE: Guidance on how to measure and report your greenhouse gas emissions" is aimed particularly at small businesses.
More information on businesses and environmental reporting can be accessed from the DEFRA website.
